The search allows you to search for a town or village name, family name or placename. You can reduce your search results by inserting inverted commas before and after a search name. For example if you search for Gordons of Letterfourie, you will get results that contain those words e.g. Gordon, Gordons, Gordonstoun, Letterfourie. If you search for "Gordons of Letterfourie" in inverted commas, you will only find results containing the phrase "Gordons of Letterfourie".
