JUNE – BFC Glenfiddich Distillery Visit 1899

This picture was donated from the Glenfiddich Distillery Archives. It is reported to be a photograph of the Banffshire Field Club excursion to the Distillery in 1899. The photographer on the day may have been Mr. James Grant, a member of the Grant Family who own the Glenfiddich Distillery, and who, although a member of the Club, is not in the picture. A recent search of the Club archives for the year drew a blank on any more information of the outing. Exactly when did it happen? Which members of the Club attended? Did they sample the products? Does anyone out there have any more information on the photograph to help us solve the mystery?
